Christmas Decorations

I like to post photos of my Christmas decorations every year for a couple reasons. One, because I LOVE them and love the house at Christmas time. And, two, because I will use it as a reference next year when I am trying to remember exactly where everything goes. What I haven't blogged about in the past, is the process of taking down all the everyday decor to make room for the Christmas stuff. It is an all day ordeal and since the boxes are easily accessible in the garage, Lily and I have done it ourselves the last few years while Chip is at work (for which Chip is eternally grateful). This year we got decorating on Sunday, November 28th and here are some photos of the process:

Just some of the frames and decorations that will get packed up in the Christmas boxes for the month that the Christmas stuff it up in the house.

Lily was having the most fun playing with all the Santas while I was hard at work -- at least it kept her entertained.

Helping decorate the kitchen tree.
Here are all the after photos:

A little elf ran by as I was taking pictures.

Some of the random stuff ends up in the random empty front room.

Calli has made friends with the Santas on the stairs. Actually, I have caught both cats curled up among the Santas, it is pretty cute.

(ignore Lily's dance tights hanging to dry on the chair, I didn't realize they were there.)

Love the lights on the stairs and your tree. I miss having a big tree this year.
