Since Lily's meeting with Santa last weekend was such a success, she has been asking to go back and visit him again "where Makayla and Madison went", aka the Mall. I had no problem with this request since I rather get a picture with this Santa with the real beard anyway. So Thursday after playgroup she got dressed in her Christmas tutu that my friend Tara made, we picked up Grandma and headed to the mall for grilled cheese sandwiches at Cheesecake Factory and a visit with Santa. She was gung-ho all week and all during lunch and was ready to go -- this was her idea, after all. But as soon as we got in the short line to see Santa she started to freak out and said she didn't want to see him after all. She tried to make a run for it, but I got her back, pretty much dragged her up to him and as soon as she got up there she relaxed some and it was all good.
Of course, Santa knew that she was kinda scared. So he talked to her gently, gave her a high five and relaxed her. Santa is so amazing like that.

What an awesome Santa! He reminds me of Ari's first visit with Santa before he, too, was scared. I don't know how he is this year but I should find out next week.
