Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve day I actually got Lily to take a MUCH needed nap!! So that was like an early present to me! :) When she woke up, Chip was home from work and we let her open the presents that Grandma Sheryl, Uncle Shawn and Aunt Susan sent. Lily was beyond excited.

She got a baby doll and a Princess Bath set with bath gel and Princess poufs from Shawn and Susan.

And a Barbie doll from Grandma! Look at her face, she was so excited. It was actually kinda perfect -- it was a "babysitting Barbie" that came with a little girl, Kelly, and a bathroom set. It is really gross. Kelly is sitting on the toilet that appears to have poo in it and it flushes. But for Lily, who is still having issues pooing on the potty -- maybe this will help! When she opened it, she exclaimed "It's the big girl poo on the potty Barbie!!!!". It is weird to me that Mattel even made such a toy, but PERFECT for Lily right now!

After presents, we had an early Christmas Eve dinner. My parents are in California for Christmas this year, so we were originally planning on having a quiet holiday with just the three of us. But, we are SO lucky to have amazing friends here who invited us into their homes and families for Christmas. On Christmas Eve, we went to Patti and Bryan's house. Patti's whole family -- Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother, Nephew and Mother in law were there along with Courtney, Paul, Trent and Elise. I love Patti's family, I have met them many times so it was wonderful to spend Christmas Eve with them. Since Patti was making a big Christmas meal on Christmas Day, she just made an assortment of appetizers for Christmas Eve. So, since I knew Chip would want leftovers to snack on all week, I bought us a Christmas ham and pre-made meal from Market Street to start eating on Christmas Eve.
Chip was very excited for his ham . . . and being a ham himself for the camera.

Our super fancy Christmas Eve dinner.
Lily ate baby green beans and rolls. Hey, at least there was a vegetable in there!!

All ready to go to Patti's!! Lily was over the Christmas tutu I bought her this year, so she wore her Christmas outfit from last year. The skirt fit fine, but the sweater was a little snug.

The new air hockey table was a huge hit!

They were so cute to watch!

Back at home scanning the sky for Santa's sleigh.

We set out some cookies and milk for the big guy, checked NORAD on the computer to see where he was (Brazil at that time) and got ready for bed. But first, Lily helped me set up my camera and timer to try to snap a photo of Santa!
