Arboretum

Today my Mom, Lily and I went to the Dallas Arboretum. They have a fall display of pumpkins and a pumpkin house which I wanted to check out. I also thought it would be a nice outing a good chance to take some pictures of Lily (you know, because I don't have enough pictures of Lily). It was a perfect day, in the low 70s and it is SO beautiful there. So many gardens and flowers. It was a little crowded -- their fall pumpkin exhibit is pretty popular. Apparently it is super popular with kids about Lily's age. I swear there almost as many strollers at the arboretum than all of Disneyland! Of course, Lily was so not being cooperative in front of the camera. She wanted to just run around and check everything out -- not sit and pose nicely for mommy. So I didn't get any great photos, but I got a lot of okay pics. . .

Almost all the trails were lined with pumpkins

Lily likes pumpkins and says "pumpkin."
So she had fun touching and looking at all the pumpkins everywhere!
Desperately trying to get Lily to take a picture with me

Lily desperately trying to carry a heavy pumpkin!

Look at all those pumpkins and gourds. They made up the "lawn" of the pumpkin house!
The Pumpkin House!

Lily running off to do her own thing (as long as "Ga" was close behind)

You can kinda get an idea of all the strollers that were there!

A little cottage designed after Anne Hathaway's in Stratford-Upon-Avon
(Anne Hathaway, Shakespeare's wife, not the Princess Diaries actress)

Running around the gardens

Butterflies!

Trying to get Lily to pose in the little chair
Bribing her with cheerios to sit and smile -- didn't quite work.

That was our morning at the Arboretum! I think they have a Christmas display also, so hopefully we'll get to check that out too!

It looks so beautiful and festive!!! I also like your clarification between the Anne Hathaways:) It is only funny because when I first heard of the actress all I could think of was Shakespeare.
