I'm back. I actually got sidetracked this weekend and forgot to blog! Can you believe that? Chip has been trying to de-stress and cut back his hours at work some until he meets with the Dr and gets confirmation that all is a-okay, so he has been home more (or at least a normal amount) which is great, but also makes me procrastinate things that need to get done since I rather be kickin' it with him than scrubbing toilets or doing laundry. So I was getting boring things done this weekend and trying to clean up some since my parents will be back tomorrow!! Which also means that I have absolutely nothing exciting to blog about at all! :)
I did cut Lily some bangs last week. They are no where near as full as they use to be and we are still working on growing out the majority of them in an attempt to get rid of the baby mullet. They are slightly crooked, but I think I did a good job. It was hard to get a good picture of her hair since she would not cooperate with me . . . . She has been so nice and loving lately. I am constantly getting hugs and kisses -- without even having to beg for them!! Let's hope this phase lasts forever! She has also started to tickle me. She thinks it is so funny, and it is, but I hate being ticked and she is pretty good. We spent awhile rolling on the floor yesterday with her tickling me and me screaming. It was fun.

Here is some random info for the day that I got out of the latest issue of Parents Magazine. In a section titled, "It Happened To Me", a mom warms of how her child's car seat was unlatched at the car wash and she did not notice until nearly a week later when she made an abrupt stop and the car seat and baby flew forward and tipped over! I always read this section and normally it is something kinda obvious and lame, like 'My kid stuck a knife in a light socket -- keep you kid away from knives and cover your sockets' (ok, maybe I am exaggerating a bit on that one, but you get what I am saying). But this scenario seemed totally plausible to me. Both times I've gotten my car washed since Lily's been born (yes, I don't often wash my car) I never thought to check to see if the car seat was still buckled in! And I could totally understand why they may have to unlatch the belt to get the vacuum hose back there to suck up all the cheerios and teddy grahams! Since I actually felt this was good advice (and Chip agreed when I told him to check the seat in his car after a wash) I thought I would pass it on to you since some of you have kids or know people who have kids.

This happened to us! Can't remember why his car seat was unlatched, but Joe came to a quick stop and Cooper's car seat rolled forward! It was very scary...he was fine, but we quickly pulled over and restrapped it. I check it all the time now! Good PSA!
