Food, Pajamas and Pumpkins

brrr. A cold front is moving through North Texas and it is chilly. Well, chilly for a girl from Southern California - it is in the 60s today! It is kinda funny because I am looking forward to having a winter, while the friends I have met who moved here from the Midwest claim that there is no winter here! It is all relative, I guess.

Continuing with my quest to cook foods that Lily will eat, I made burritos last night. Lily loves tacos from Taco Bell (kinda strange if you ask me). But I really don't want her to eat those all the time, so I bought the Taco Bell brand seasoning at the store and put it in ground turkey figuring that has to be healthier than Taco Bell. I also made some rice and beans and made a nice little plate for her. She tried it, but didn't eat it. :( Of course she ate the tortilla that I gave her after it was apparent she was not going to eat any of her food. Oh well, I'm gonna keep trying . . . .

Since I knew it was going to drop into the 40s last night, I dressed Lily in her flannel monkey pjs! She looked so cute this morning with her messy bed-hair and little jammies, that I had to take some pictures!

......................
And finally a picture from Gymboree from this morning. I actually got a picture of her with the pumpkins! Yes, same outfit as yesterday -- at least none of the same people were there! Definitely getting my moneys worth out of this $5 Target Halloween t-shirt!! :)

Love that shirt! :-)Love the great deals!
Just a suggestion...maybe put a tiny bot of food on her plate at a time. Just give her a spoonful of meat to begin with?I think I read somewhere that is a good strategy to try to get kids to eat. Maybe that might work?
Have a good day!
