Day 2 & A Catchphrase

Day 2 of potty training is going fairly well. She is a pro at poo and has no problem there, but she is still a little slow realizing when she has too pee. Nearly every time this morning, she peed a little before realizing she has to go. She'd scream, hold it and we'd run to the toilet to finish. However, right as we were getting ready for a nap, with her diaper already on, she said she had to pee. Part of me just wanted to tell her to go in her diaper since I figured it was just a stall tactic to postpone her nap, but I took her to the bathroom and she went right away and without a mini accident first! I was so excited and I hope that continues through out the night. It is a little difficult since she doesn't really have a pee schedule (for example I know a lot of kids that pee exactly 12 minutes after they drink, so you can plan bathroom trips), but I haven't been able to figure out a pattern with Lily. So it is annoying, but in some ways it is good. Since I don't have her already on the potty when it is time to go, it is all up to her to tell me. And she doesn't like having accidents, so hopefully that is motivation to get her more aware of her body.

In other random Lily news, she has a new hilarious catchphrase, "That just happened!" For example, whenever she or someone else spills something she'll say, "and that just happened!" Or if she trips and falls she'll say, "well that just happened!" It is so odd and I have NO idea where she got that from. She is like a character on a cheesy sitcom from the 80's and sometimes I expect to hear a laugh track after she says it. It is too funny!!
