No post yesterday since we've been busy having fun with our latest out-of-town guests! One of Chip's best friends, Eric, is here along with his wife, Kristi, and their oldest son, Colton. We are so happy that they flew out to Texas to visit us! They got in late Thursday night. Friday, Chip and Eric went straight to the golf course, while the rest of us went out for a yummy pancake breakfast and drove around some to explore the area. While Lily took a nap, Cole and Kristi used the pool at the golf course and then later the guys came home and we went out to dinner. Yesterday, we took them to the Fort Worth Stockyards and then did some shopping in the evening before meeting up with the guys for dinner (they, of course, went golfing again in the evening). This morning they went to church and then we all went to the course for the yummy brunch! Afterwards I drove them out to the country to see a different side of the area (since it is pretty much city where we are, but 20 minutes the other direction is total country living). Now Lily is napping and they took their rental car out to explore some more and do some shopping. Tomorrow Kristi and Cole are going to Six Flags. Lily and I decided to skip that trip since there are probably not many Lily-friendly rides and North Texas is in the middle of a record breaking heat wave (they picked the hottest time to come visit!). We average 16 triple-digit days a year normally and so far this year we are on like day 25! It has been pretty hot!! It is supposed to be 105 today and break records! Even Chip said it was too hot to golf, so you know it has got to be pretty damn hot!!!!!
Here are some pictures of Lily and Colton playing. She is having so much fun playing with Cole and he is really good with her since he has 2 younger siblings at home. His sister, Jenna, is exactly one month younger than Lily.
